Private lessons on Zoom
Private lessons work well if your schedule is busy, changes frequently or you prefer working directly with one teacher. A level may take around three months, less time or a little longer. It depends on your schedule, your goals, previous experience and how much practice you complete between classes. Click here to read the full course description and content for each level.
You are first interviewed so that we learn more about your language background and learning goals. We’ll make a learning plan for you and recommend the best option for you. We’ll go over a possible class schedule and answer your questions. You can decide to join right away or later on whenever you’re ready.
Each class you meet with a teacher to practice live and participate in guided activities. There is some homework to complete between classes and over the weekends, like audio exercises, worksheets and video lessons to watch. Each week we’ll tell you how much to complete inside the program on our website.
Zoom classes with a teacher are paid separately, in addition to your Toani Membership subscription fee. Every student must have an active Membership to join a class with a teacher. Private lessons are $600 MXN pesos an hour and sessions are booked in blocks of 10 hours.

Rescheduling private lessons
Private lessons offer more scheduling flexibility than group classes, but changes still need to be arranged in advance.
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a class.
- Up to two sessions may be rescheduled per calendar month without penalty.
- When classes are paid monthly, rescheduled sessions must be completed within the same calendar month.
- Credit from a 10-hour package remains valid for up to six months from the date of purchase.
- Missed classes and late cancellations are not reimbursed or returned as credit.

Would you rather learn with other people?
Group classes follow a fixed weekly schedule with students at the same level. Semi-private lessons are available for two or three people who already know each other and want to follow the program together.
