Private Spanish Lessons on Zoom
Private lessons are a good option if you prefer working directly with one teacher or need a schedule that can be arranged around your availability.
You follow the same Levels 1–5 program used in our group classes, but the pace can be adjusted according to what you already know, how often you meet and how much practice you complete between sessions.
During class, you can ask specific questions, spend more time on pronunciation, review difficult topics or continue moving forward when you are ready.
Before you begin, we meet for a free 30-minute interview to learn about your Spanish background, recommend a starting level and discuss a possible class schedule.
How private lessons work
Classes are held live on Zoom with one teacher. The schedule is agreed between you and your instructor.
Your teacher guides you through the Toani Program and assigns specific lessons, audio exercises, quizzes and other activities inside your Toani Membership. We’ll tell you what to do each week as we go, so you always know what to practice between sessions.
Private lessons can follow the full program from Level 1 through Level 5, or they can be used for additional help while you are already taking a group class.
Class format: One student with one teacher.
Session length: One hour.
Schedule: Arranged with your instructor.
Class pace: Adjusted to your progress and availability.
Location: Live on Zoom.
How long does each level take?
There is no single completion time for private lessons.
A level may take around three months, less time or a little longer. It depends on how often you meet, your previous experience and how much practice you complete between classes.
Students who take two or more sessions per week may move through the program faster. Students with limited availability can follow a slower schedule without losing access to the course materials inside the Membership.
Your Toani Membership
An active Toani Membership is required while you are taking private lessons. The Membership gives you access to the complete Levels 1–5 program and the online materials your teacher assigns between classes.
Your class payment covers the live sessions with your teacher. Your Membership gives you access to the lessons, pronunciation audios, quizzes, worksheets and additional practice used throughout the program.
They are two separate payments because they cover two different parts of your learning experience.
You can stop taking private lessons and keep your Membership active if you want to continue studying on your own.
Tuition and payments
Private lessons: $600 MXN per hour
Toani Membership: $550 MXN per month
The payment method depends on how often you plan to meet.
If you schedule two sessions per week or more, the classes for the month are paid in advance.
If you schedule one session per week, you purchase a 10-hour package in advance. The remaining class credit can be used for up to six months from the date of purchase.
We’ll confirm the schedule and payment arrangement before your first paid session.
Rescheduling private lessons
Private lessons offer more scheduling flexibility than group classes, but changes still need to be arranged in advance.
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a class.
- Up to two sessions may be rescheduled per calendar month without penalty.
- When classes are paid monthly, rescheduled sessions must be completed within the same calendar month.
- Credit from a 10-hour package remains valid for up to six months from the date of purchase.
- Missed classes and late cancellations are not reimbursed or returned as credit.
Before you begin
During your free interview, we’ll ask about your previous Spanish experience, what you want to improve and the days and times when you are usually available.
We’ll then recommend a starting level and check teacher availability. Once the schedule is confirmed, you can activate your Membership and make the corresponding class payment.
You do not need to purchase anything before the interview.
Schedule your free interview
Choose a time for a 30-minute Zoom interview. We’ll help you confirm your level, answer your questions and discuss a possible private class schedule.
Would you rather learn with other people?
Group classes follow a fixed weekly schedule with students at the same level. Semi-private lessons are available for two or three people who already know each other and want to follow the program together.
