Foundation

Present Tense

- Get a lot of repetition practice and prepare to join the Conversation Club (optional).
Object Pronouns
- Reinforce preterite and learn the basics of imperfect tense.
- Understand how little words like me, te, le, lo, and la work and where to put them in a sentence.
- Tell more complete stories and describe the places or how people were feeling.
Advanced Tenses
- Review and reinforce all tenses learned in Levels 1-4.
- Learn new tenses to give instructions and share recommendations or wishes.
- Put into practice everything you've learned so far and find out your next step.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THIS PORGRAM?
Each course is about 24 hours of self-study, except for Level 2, which takes from 16 to 18 hours of self-study. You can complete each course at your own pace and time, but you can skip Level 2, for instance, if you already know present tense. Students do that all the time, they pick and focus on the parts they need to learn or reinforce. You have access to all levels when you sign up, so you can go back and forth between levels to revisit or to skip.
Most of our students complete Levels 1 to 3 in about 8 to 9 months, when studying with a group on Zoom. Classes typically meet twice a week for one hour, but we also have private and semi-private options in case you’d like to advance faster and adjust the classes to your own schedule and pace.
How long the program takes will depend on your circumstances and how much time and effort you can give it each week. What matters is not how quickly you finish, but whether you can actually use what you learn, not just read it. Some students may feel comfortable with the Spanish they can use by Level 3, while others will want to continue through Levels 4 and 5. Everyone’s path will look a little different, but the goal is the same: to get actual results and be able to speak Spanish in real situations.
