Group Classes on Zoom

Group classes are a good option if you enjoy learning with the same classmates every week. You can hear other students practice, ask questions and work through the same sentence structures. Their participation gives you more examples of how Spanish can be used and creates a lot of repetition during class.

Classes are held live on Zoom with a teacher. Students in each group are placed at the same level, and the group follows the same part of the Toani Program together.

Before joining a group, you complete a free interview so we can learn more about your Spanish background, recommend the right level and confirm which class schedules are currently available.

How group classes work

Classes meet twice a week for one hour. The days and time are fixed before the group begins, and everyone meets on Zoom at the same scheduled time.

During class, you practice short conversations, pronunciation, sentence structure and the vocabulary introduced at your level. You also listen to other students work through the same activities. This shared practice is one of the main advantages of learning in a group.

Between classes, your teacher assigns specific lessons, audio exercises, quizzes and other activities inside the Toani Membership. We’ll tell you what to do each week as we go, so you do not have to guess what to study next.

Class frequency: Two classes per week.

Session length: One hour.

Class size: Usually between 5 and 8 students.

Schedule: Fixed days and time for the full group.

Location: Live on Zoom.

How long does each level take?

The group moves forward together, so the pace includes time for speaking, listening, questions, guided activities and repetition.

Level 1 usually takes about three months in a group. Level 3 also takes approximately three months because students need additional practice recognizing and using past-tense verbs during conversations.

Some levels may be shorter, but the goal is not to rush through the material. The time in class gives students repeated opportunities to use what they are learning before moving on.

Your Toani Membership

An active Toani Membership is required while you are taking group classes. The Membership gives you access to the complete Levels 1–5 program and the online materials your teacher assigns between classes.

Your class tuition pays for the live sessions with your teacher. Your Membership gives you access to the lessons, pronunciation audios, quizzes, worksheets and additional practice used throughout the program.

They are two separate payments because they cover two different parts of your learning experience.

You can stop taking classes with a teacher and keep your Membership active if you want to continue studying on your own.

Tuition and payments

Group class tuition: $2,250 MXN per month

Toani Membership: $550 MXN per month

Group class tuition includes two one-hour classes per week. Depending on the number of weeks in the calendar month, this normally represents between 6 and 10 classes.

Tuition is paid monthly in advance to reserve your place in the group. Payment for the following month is due on the 23rd.

Example: A payment made on March 23 reserves your place for April.

Group class policies

Group classes follow a shared schedule. Because the class continues when one student is absent, missed sessions are not rescheduled, refunded or saved as credit.

  • A 30-day notice is required if you decide to discontinue your group class.
  • Missed classes are not refundable and cannot be credited toward another month.
  • Holidays are not rescheduled.
  • Months with five classes or fewer are charged at $350 MXN per class instead of the regular monthly tuition.
  • Your Membership must remain active while you are enrolled in the group.

Before you join

We first need to confirm your level and find a group with an appropriate schedule. During your free 30-minute interview, we’ll ask about your previous Spanish experience, what you want to improve and the times you are normally available.

If there is already a group that fits your level and schedule, we’ll explain how to join. If there is no matching group available at that moment, we may recommend private lessons, a semi-private class or another way to begin.

Schedule your free interview

Choose a time for a 30-minute Zoom interview. You do not need to activate your Membership or make a class payment before speaking with us.

We’ll help you confirm your level, answer your questions and review the group schedules currently available.

Acuity interview calendar will be added here.

Need a more flexible schedule?

Private and semi-private lessons follow the same Toani Program, but the schedule and pace can be arranged around the student or small group.
