Our teachers
Learning a language is a very personal experience, and the people guiding you through it matter.
Our team shares the same teaching method, learning materials and course progression, so regardless of which teacher you work with, you’ll be following the same program. Each instructor brings their own personality to the classroom, but everyone teaches using the same approach that has been developed and refined over the past twelve years.
Jair
Founder · Language Instructor
Hi! My name is Jair, and I’m the founder of Toani Idiomas.
I’m originally from Monterrey, Mexico, and I’ve been living in Los Cabos for more than fourteen years. I studied Modern Languages at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS), where I specialized in Spanish, English and French. Along the way, I also developed a strong interest in Náhuatl, one of Mexico’s most widely spoken Indigenous languages, which I continue teaching and promoting today.
I began teaching Spanish to English-speaking adults in 2012. As I worked with students from different backgrounds, I noticed that many of them understood grammar but still struggled to communicate naturally. That experience gradually led to the development of what is now the Toani teaching method, a learning system centered on pronunciation, sentence structure and conversation.
Today I continue improving our courses, creating learning materials and working with our team to make learning Spanish a more natural and enjoyable experience for students around the world.
Emanuel
Language Instructor
My name is Emanuel, and I’m one of the Spanish instructors at Toani Idiomas.
I was born and raised in Los Cabos, although my family is originally from Puebla. My interest in languages began at an early age and eventually led me to study Foreign Language Teaching at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS), where I specialized in Spanish, English and French.
During my university years, I met Jair as one of my professors and became familiar with the teaching approach that later became the Toani method. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to help refine that system while teaching students from many different countries.
I enjoy helping students build confidence through pronunciation, conversation and practical communication. Whether we’re working on sentence structure, listening practice or everyday situations, my goal is always to help students feel comfortable using Spanish in real life.
Luis
Language Instructor
Hi! My name is Luis, and I’m one of the Spanish instructors at Toani Idiomas.
I studied Foreign Language Teaching at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS), where I specialized in Spanish, English and French. During my time at the university, I developed a strong interest in language learning, communication and helping students build confidence while speaking a new language.
Since joining Toani, I’ve been learning and teaching through the Toani method, working with the same learning materials and teaching approach used throughout the program. I enjoy helping students improve their pronunciation, understand sentence structure and feel more comfortable using Spanish in everyday conversations.
My goal is to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, practicing and making steady progress one step at a time.
